Fees vary for individual, family, or couple sessions. Reduced fees, also called sliding scale fees, are available depending on your specific situation.
My services are reimbursable by health insurance and employee benefit plans. If you have questions about your specific benefits, it's wise to call the member services number on your insurance card and asking them the following:
- What is my coverage amount for a psychotherapy session? (If your company asks for a Service Code, 90837 is the insurance companies' code for individual therapy and 90847 is the code for family/couple therapy.)
- How many sessions per year does my health insurance cover?
- Is prior approval required from my primary care physician?
- Are there any other requirements for me to be authorized for treatment (such as a treatment plan or other documents to be prepared by my therapist)?
Cash and checks are accepted for payment. Most clients pay at the time of each session, but other arrangements can be made at your request.
